We are proud to be part of the St Austell Brewery estate. This combined with our Cask Marque accreditation not only on our real ales but also our lagers has led to us being a popular community “village” pub located close to the town centre.

We offer a ‘no nonsense’ but very attractive menu of home prepared food, using wherever feasible, fresh local produce. We recommend advance booking if at all possible, if you are in a rush you can e-mail your order, requesting a time and we will ring you back to confirm, alternatively give us a ring we will tell you what specials are on that day and reserve you a table.

Food is served every day, starting with breakfasts from 10.00am till 12.00 and then a full menu till 3.00pm and again between 6.00 pm and 9.00 pm. We now do takeaway breakfasts rolls for those in a rush.

Our infamous “Great Value” Sunday roast lunch is available between 12 noon and 3.00pm every Sunday.

We have a special seated undercover smoking solution, secluded to the rear that does not make smokers feel like “lepers”, yet those who don’t smoke can relax in the “beer garden” with friends and the little one’s too.

Inside we have a darts board, a tournament standard pool table, you can even stay fit and play on the Wii on the large plasma screens, the kids love it and it costs nothing, leaving you free to enjoy a drink.

We are a “local pub” as they used to be, whilst at the same time welcoming tourists and visitors to Cornwall as if you have been regulars for life.
